AREA RUGS FOR RESORT LIVING
My mother has just recently purchased a beach hut down at the tropics. It is actually funny to be calling it a “beach hut”, because my idea of a “hut” is not one that has two large bedrooms, 3 T&B and a porch that can be the set of any paradise-set movie. But we got it for a bargain, because the family who offered it to my mom have decided to purchase a new property somewhere near spectacular Australian beaches, because they have just started business operations near Port Philip Bay. Anyway, mom’s beach hut may be considered a bargain, it was like our vendor just wanted good folks to take care of the property they have loved for so long.
When I first saw the interiors, I fell in love with the place. Aunt Ellie has such exquisite taste. But of course, as expected, because of the cheap price by which it was sold, the beach house will not be furnished when it is turned over to my mom by the end of this month. That means I have a BIG project on the way – decorating in the tropics. Yey! Since we have stayed there several times I have an idea of what I will be looking for to suit the place. Definitely I would not want it to be a copycat of Aunt Ellie’s interiors. We loved that, but I am looking forward to coming up with something fresh and unique for Mom’s ultimate vacation place.
My Mom’s favourite home deco piece? Rugs! I will definitely find her the perfect area rugs for the bedrooms. She will absolutely love the designs I found online – not too formal for a beach house, but not too shabby either. She will go nuts when she learns I have found high-quality cheap rugs in the best of places on the web.
